Band BIO:

The Dutch band  Necronomic played and still plays a mix of "Oldskool"
Metal songs, like Metallica in their early years. That’s why their attitude is: No bullocks just play!!"

They do their best to play an own version of their beloved metal songs . That's why you will find classics as Motorbreath (Metallica), Independent and Surf Nicaragua (Sacred Reich) in the set.

With a different musical interests of the bandmembers they never had a real style.  That's why the songs cross the different styles of Metal.

After al lot of changes, the band finaly find the right people to find a balance between trash metal and something melodic.

In march 2003 the band recorded a demo/promo cd (…over the Edge) that counts 4 own songs and a cover of Sacred Reigh.

In October 2005 a new head appeared for the role of guitarist, He read an post on a website for musician's. After some rehearsals we decided to
make Mark a part of our band! He will take up rhytmn guitar for now.

With this formation follows a lot of gigs and Necronomic is also active to organize a package together with other bands to present this at local clubs. The band did a tour together with A Switch Below (BE) and Bring out your dead (UK), called the “Coalation Tour ’06.

This tour made Necronomic strong and some other gigs followed in their region. Göran and Peter has a military mission to do for a half year and again a half year, so Mark and Richard left the band for different reasons. We decide to stop the band for some time, just a sabbatical (januari 2007).

After one and a half year (juni 2008) we decided to search some new guys to complete the band again. We find them in the names Pim Schram and Rob Buter.
