News Headline – 29 December 2006:

Het einde van het jaar komt in zicht en we doen het een beetje rustig aan.

Maar er is wel goed nieuws! we hebben een nieuwe gitarist!

Hij heet Mark van de Moosdijk, meer info vind je bij de band sectie!!!

We gaan zo snel mogelijk met hem aan de slag om eind januari mischien nog wat live dingen te doen, welliswaar zonder göran, maar ja, we willen jullie niets onthouden!!!

14 November 2006:

In September we started out with a tour. Six gigs in a row, Across Holland and Belgium. This tour was a succes and a great experience. We learned a lot and took the opportunity to show this at some gigs in the neighborhood last month.

At one of these gigs our live shit was recorded. As soon as I have a track I put it on the website.

Other news assuring our bass player Göran. The band will have to deal with the lack of bass lines for the coming months . Göran will be back on duty in spring next year.

'Damn' you might thing (we hope so), 'Necronomic is going for a winter break!' Nah! We're doing the opposite! We're writing new tracks and going on with playing live!

The last shows were really great! Thanks to OJC 't Tref and PopEI.
At the last gig we've made records for a cd with live shit! More information about this cd will come soon!

The next gig, will be our last for a while. Were going to concentrate on new material!

The Gig in OJC 't Tref is a special concert in the battle against cancer.

During rehearsals we have been busy writing new songs! Check our web-site now and then for more information about new songs!

19 september 2006:

Touring is over, people it was really GREAT! Awesome to play 6 gigs in a row! The Audience was great! Unfortunately “The Hague” on the Wednesday did not draw audience. We made a party of our own there.

We also like to thank A Switch Below for  there invitation to join them for this tour! And our thanks to Bring Out Your Dead for there enthusiasm and fun during the tour!

Well, tour’s over, we all had some time to relax by skipping an audition and now were heading for what seems to be a new period for Necronomic. New influences means new songs have to be written. 

We got around the table during the tour to discuss the future of the band. The numbers in our setlist during the tour are getting old and weary. We want new songs! But what songs do we want? Well that’s a hard question to answer! The rehearsals will point out what direction feels comfy for us!

Any Gigs to aspect? There are rumours for some gigs in the region1 keep 6 October and 13 October free on your calendar!

15 August 2006:

Hi people! Long time no see! Necronomic has been taking a break for a month.
We all had some time to relax and take back some gas.

Now the first rehearshals has taken place and it was a succes! Things are really falling into place and we really have the feeling that were getting somewhere now!!
The tour is also expanding quite rappidly, 6 gigs till now! Here's a overview:

Necronomic has lots of new songs and some great covers up ahead (metallica, pantera, sepultura, slayer, sacred reich), so come see us at one of these gigs!!

19 June 2006:

Necronomic is preparing for the tour. There's a lot of work to keep us busy for quite some time!

The Tour has a name: -Coalition Tour 2006-. The Id for this tour comes from the Belgian Metalband "A Switch Below" (Check: www.aswitchbelow.com).
This bands has also asked: Blackdown (Be) and Bring Out Your Dead (UK) to join them. So it's those four bands that are going to do the trick! The Gigs promise to be Great and Divers!

Where looking forward of seeing you guys go nuts during this Tour! Check the GIGS section to see the dates and places so far!

Necronomic on Tour???, Maybe........We were contacted by the Belgian band "A Switch Below" to do a Belgian/Dutch tour. It looks like something big!!! We are still trying to arrange everything so we can't so to much about it yet but, We'll keep you informed!!!

Well, that's  that for Antwerp, not a bad gig at all!!(You can read more about it in the March Newsletter).

Now it's time to get ready for the next gig on May 28th in Odeon, our "Home Base".

Hopefully we'll have better sound and more space (on stage and in the croud)
