Nieuwsbrief Februari 2007 NL

Lange tijd niets meer gehoord van ons? Dat kan kloppen. We hebben, om maar met een met de deur in huis te vallen, de band stilgelegd voor de rest van het seizoen. De reden hiervoor is het opstappen van de drummer en gitarist en twee leden die voor langere tijd naar het buitenland zijn. Met andere woorden we zijn nu met z'n drieen over en hebben besloten dat het beter is nu niets te doen en de zaak een tijd lang stil te leggen. Geen optredens in het verschiet helaas.

Slecht nieuws is nooit leuk om te melden en vooral voor ons niet om te doorstaan. Richard (samen met Peer een van de oprichters van de band) kon vanwege werk / thuisfront de energie en tijd niet meer vinden om iedere zondagochtend te komen repeteren. Een moeilijke beslissing voor hem en voor ons een enorm gemis. "Ries, we zullen je missen !!" Mark, (de nieuwe) heeft mede door het feit dat peter en Göran weg zijn, besloten om al zijn energie te stoppen in zijn andere project, Syndrome7, wat overigens best vette shit is!

Ok, nu zul je denken hoe nu verder, is dit het einde van Necronomic?? Hmmm.... nee, ik denk van niet, maar wij gaan er wel even tijd tussenuit, tijd voor een sabbatical. Wij drieen vinden het veel te leuk om met elkaar muziek te maken en dat moet voorop staan.

Maar goed, wat betreft deze nieuwsbrief... er is de rest van het seizoen niets te melden en zullen jullie ook moeten missen. De website zal ook een tijdlang op non-actief gaan, het gastenboek blijft overigens wel actief, dus wil je ons bereiken, vooral doen!!!!

Helaas, het is niet anders. We kunnen jullie niets beloven, maar eind September, wanneer Peer en Göran uitgekacheld zijn , gaan we de band opnieuw vormen, met een nieuwe drummer en gitarist, en hopen we weer gloednieuwe nummers uit te gaan pakken.

Hou jullie taai en tot ziens (voorlopig) !!

Long time no hear??(again) true, we have, to say it straight away, decided to put the band on hold for the rest of the season. Reason for this is the departure of our drummer, and our new gitarist.and two members that have to go away for a longer period. In other words.....there is 3 bandmembers left in Necronomic, and at hte moment it is no use to keep the band goin this season., so no gigs either i'm afraid....

It's never nice to bring bad news, and especially now thing were realy starting to look positive for us. Richard (together with Peter one of the founders of Necronomic) Left because of family / work issues and decided to quit the band. A deficult decision for him, and realy bad for us, ries: We'll miss you!!!!"
Mark (the new one) decided, also because of the two people beeing away for a longer time, to put all of his energy into his other project, Syndrome7, witch is pretty cool by the way.

Ok, you think, is this the end of Necronomic?? Hmmm.... no, we don't think so, the remaining members are still motivated to go on, only we have to have a low prifile untill September, so time for a sabbatical.

So for a while, this will be the last newsletter, also the site will not be updated for a while, the guestbook will stay, so if you want to reach us: Please do!!!!

So, it's tough, but there is nothing we can do, at the end ogf september, when everybody's back, we hope to reform the band and start writing new shit...
